I know that this topic has probably been posted many times already, but why did IASCA go back to the one lane levels. I have been to many car stereo shows and IASCA doesn't even come close to impressing me to DbDRag. Maybe it is because of the way that Toronto was run, but I do not understand why when the set up is available and was on hand in Toronto, you went and are going with one lane?

The equipment that was used in Toronto actually belonged to the dB Drag Racing Sanctioning Rep in Canada. IASCA didn't have any SPL measuring equipment so we loaned them ours to pull them out of a tough situation.
Personally, I am glad to see that IASCA has quit trying to be like dB Drag Racing. We both have our own identities and the differences between the two organizations present the competitor with more options. If everyone was the same, there wouldn't be any variety.
Good luck this season!

I can clear up why this has occured. It all started at "Perry 99" One lane was clearly 3db down. During the beginning of the final rounds enough competitors complained. Mike Jaffe quickly formed a competitors meeting. It was decided that we would still use both lanes, but each class would use the same mic. It was agreed, it worked real well, and IASCA used it at the finals. They ran 3 lanes. Now for major event like SBN, they let you go once on each day, then add your scores.
Like Wayne said. The variety is cool. I really like eliminations in dB drag, but I compete IDBL also.
