Are Soundstream spl70's pretty good? I am looking into 2 170's with a class A 10.5 pushing them in a sealed 1.5 cuft each box. In a extended cab ranger what spl scores would i be looking at. Or I was thinking about a couple of Earthquake Magma 12's . I don't know what to do?

Thanks guys

Yes the SPL 170's are VERY good. With that setup in a daily driver I would guess 146-148ish. those 2 DVC all in parallel will give you the 1 ohm mono full output of the 10.0, which has been tested as high as 1488 w at 14.4 Volts. 1 suggestion: I would port the box to about a 4-5 footer or so with the SPL subs. Unless you have lots of subs and power I have seen most SS SPL subs do better in ported.

Got Bass?

The 170 is an upgrade to the 160 so you should do very well. I had 2 of the 160's in a ported box in my old car. This was a long time ago by the way. I had no cabin mods and no electrical upgrades and i had one 10.0 pushing them. I did above 149 dB most the time at the dash and Db Drag legal. Just to give you an idea. And you said you were putting these in a truck? That means less internal volume and more BASS! Good luck!

I would think that either of those subs could bring you 150+ if you port your box. Just a thought, and the bigger the better!

From somebody who has had both the SPL 170 is the better choice of the 2. Go PORTED if you can.
