Hi, ok ill be plain and simple here...i have 2 12inch jbl st 1200d's in a custom built 4 cubic foot ported box, with 4 inch ports that are 12 inches deep made with cardboard. I am runnin an MTX Road Thunder 2400x amp. So i am runnin 375 watts to each sub. My current high is 145, but as of late i am only hitting in the 143 range. All at db drag racing events. I was thinking of switcing either to The 12inch JBL gti's or the Mtx blue thunder extremes. I know if i switch to these subs i will most likely need another amp. My question is, will i be any louder if switch subs and dont get another of the same amp? Oh yeah my high for outlaw is 147.1 thats in the cabin of the car, not by the ports. Please any info will be greatlley appreciated, i am only asking for one little trophie i have ranked from 12th to 4th PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Hrm.......JBLs aren't bad, the GTs are a step-up from the Decades, but if you wanted to stay in the JBL line, I'd go with the Power (5 Ohm) series. If you want to stay with Harmon International, then I'd go with Infinity Kappas (Betas and Perfects are also out there, but might be out of price range).
Not familiar with the BT "propeller" sub, but Thunderforce has quite a few winning competitors using BT equipment throughout.
As for amp upgrades, I'd look into BT, Thunder, and RF first, then to the more pricy brands: PPI, PG, Orion, McIntosh (so very clean!!), etc. Or!! You could get one of those Infinity Beta Class D amps Crutchfield has them for dirt cheap and Mandingo (spelling?) gave his thumbs up from personal exp.
