Hello i have 4 15"s - dual 2 ohm coils with a 4000 watt amp (at 1 Ohm) to each sub. my old numbers were 88.8 volts with 24 amps = 2131.2 watts = 1.3 ohms standing to 3.7 box impedance. doing a 157.6 SO i get same manufacture subs but instead of a triple stack magnet only a double stack lighter motor suppose to be a more effecent(blah blah blah)sub but this time i get dual 1.4 ohm coils to lower my standing to .75 ohms so i can get more power, and be louder right? i figured .75 standing to 1.99 box impedance at 85% eff. should have gave me 3962 watts. Well heres where im confused i now have 90.4 volts with 21.6 amps = 1952 watts = 4.18 box impedance. WHY DID MY BOX IMPEDANCE RISE? and i got louder with less watts now a 158.0 HOLY #@&* this making my head hurt and i have the finals in a couple of weeks i need to see at least a 160 out of this ERRR
