Well i was kinda late with the pictures but i guess never late then never.
I will be building a half wall with 1 15" Fi BTL. Running off a Stetsom 4k2d @ .5 ohms with a powermaster D3100 battery, tuned to 50-51Hz, Sub forward and port forward. whoever has seen my car before they know that there always was a giant hole in the trunk to the cabin.
The box will be 5 Cubes before displacements, with almost a 12inch port. this is just a trial box, might sound like crap, might sound good, dunno. Right now it is around 4.6 cubes after displacement.
I will be making a changeable port to 33Hz, i have never had a box in my car tuned lower then 41 Hz. so I'm kinda excited on that part.

I think, lol i would be pissed. I can have a wall, podium, B-Pillar Forward, 1 battery 800 in^3, right now its over the window line by 1-2 inches.

I'm using a box like this because i have never seen one, and yea i will be making a interchangeable port tuned to 33-35 Hz
Thanks for the positive comments.
Next i will be layering the top with 3/4 MDF to fill in the hole behind the box.

i assume our going to bolt the box to the floor, try to create a seal on the sides from baffle to "B"-pillars. you will see good gains from that. Also, i hope you plan to resin the inside of the box to seal the wood, if you can take the box outa the car for that would be handy cuz it will stink pretty good!

Yea, i already filled the hole for the rear speakers with mdf and used caulk around it for a nice seal. Right now i am using lag bolts to hold the box down. yup the box comes out when i take off the door, but i think i wanna burp it first to see the numbers before i resin the box, just to see what kinda numbers i can get.
So do you think I should more my box up closer, to the B-pillar?

you should put the sub right at the b/pillar

^^^^thats not always the loudest spot for the box.......test it where it is then move it 1" and test it againand again 1" at a time til your at the b-pillar. I think for the $13 it will cost to resin the box its worth it, you should always be sealed and smooth before tuning and testing otherwise your just wasting time.
resin is a gain and will affect your tuning and possibly how the box will react to different placement in the car.

walmart will sell resin and i would put a lot in the corners. I would do it in layers so it is all even

i think a gallon would be overkill, dont bother using the fibreglass cloth on the inside though, just mix with hardener and paint it on with a brush!!

You're gonna run the 4k2d @.5 ohm? Thats dangerous, stick to 2 0hm yo, or maybe 1.5. I wont go much lower than that unless im 100% sure of impedance rise

lol i have gotten my 4k2d @ .5 with a 420 Amp draw, with a roll volume burp.
Just tested it out with a 15" BTL dual 2, ran it at 1 ohm and 4 ohms the box seems to be tuned to 54hz, to the ear i will pull out the Term lab and do a sine sweep. I did not resin yet and there are alot or air leaks in the box so i'll be working on that, this week or next week.
My 4k2d might be going up for sale, thinking about maybe a 9K2D and run it at a .5 ohm.

I have been real lazy for a while. Amp is up for sale.
Wired my box with distribution blocks, will be resining it today, or tomorrow, while i let the recone on the sub dry, also got a whole bunch of SPL tiles from second skin audio.
