Dude, it's Saturday and no one is home on the computer but me.
For now, just build what you have the specs for and see how it does.

4.5cf seems pretty darn small for an 18" ported

Small box and lots of port itīs the most comun SPL box in these days hehe, the 3518 works daily between 5 and 7 cubic feet, i guess 4.5 cubic feet and 12" aerport would be nice with 6K , i need someone to tell me if iīm on the right path or i mistaked evertyhing...

With that car your gonna have to start at a low tuning around 40 hz and slowly tune it up to peak. that size is ok for burps only sounds horrible on music. Normally you would have 5-10 cubes for the 18 but I have seen a few ultra tiny enclosures with 18's work for burps only.

exaclty!! Thatīs what i thought, i have 3 DD 1510īs for daily, this box is just for burping, as you said, iīm starting @ 40 hz and cut until i get the maximun number out of it, you think 12" aeroport itīs ok with 6K watts?? i was thinking about a 10" aeroport, but with that amount of power, i still think i can get louder with 12" , tell me your opinion...

I would do the 10" port.
If you find it getting to short to peak out the cabin then switch to the 12" port.

Hey guys, i didnīt compete yesterday on AD NW because i didnīt score good numers on the tests the day before, i scored barely 148.9 dbs with the 12" port, i also tried 8" and 10" and scored lower numbers.

After that, i got a few things inside the box to shrink the internal volume down and helped a little bit more, i have another comp next month and iīm planning on compete with the same thing, but changing things, i dunno what to do now, the box is CRX Style maybe getting the sub and port up?? maybe sub and port back?? i need some tips, any help is welcome!!

Also, i tried to tune higher and there wasnīt way to get the peak lower, i was peaking at 50 hz!!!! my carīs resonant frequency (suzuki swift) with the box on the pilar B for no wall, is about 58 hz, why i couldnīt hit higher than 50 hz with a port so large?? 16" and extended to 24" and still hit on 50 hz tone!!

I would go with a 10" port and make the box bigger you cam close the box of faster then building a new one every time.round off all the in side corners.

What upppp emperor, well, i had a fight with the "buddies" that were helping me with this, most because the port issue haha, iīm starting next week by myself(best way i think), iīm gonna use the same 12" port but iīm gonna cut it a couple of inches and see what happens, also, iīm getting sub forward/port back 4.5 c/f box, if itīs too big then i just get some bracing inside the box and thatīs it.

I got 148.9 dbs with only a HC1800 kinetik battery, with the port too long and the sub up wich it sucked! so, iīm hoping that with your help and my money haha, i think i can least get 152 dbs wich would be nice for my first real SPL build! hehehe, iīll give you a buzz in a couple of days, thanks a lot mate....
