Just curious to see if anyone has some input on shedding a little light on the subject. I would be curious to know both under and over the window line.

Team BK with the Pt Cruiser with a 158+ or so with a single 18" DD woofer. I'm pretty sure that the PT is considered a suv cause anyone that I've seen someone compete has been in a truck or suv class in organizations outside Db Drag.

last time I heard him having the truck out was SBN a couple years ago or another large show on the east coast and he did a mid 55 with a thrown together setup.

He competes mainly with his crx now but If he ever focused on the mountaineer Im sure he could get in the 158s in street C. Just basing that number on my best street C numbers with very little testing, not tuning the cabin of the vehicle at all and only competing with my truck for one season. He will know his vehicle better, definitely has better gear, and has much more SPL experience than I did. Hell, coming into my 07 season Id never had a certified over 150 db.

I new that the Solo X's could get loud, but I had no idea they could produce those numbers. I am only running about 1/3 of that power but it looks like if I want to get to the 157 mark I am going to have to make a few power modifications.

i ran 6 solo X 10s in my explorer and they definitely get loud. Was doing over a 57 aswell on 4 amps but would lose on of the woofers in the box every 2nd or 3rd burp. Shattering the cone. Always though it was a loading issue. Those were old style cones aswell, didnt want to upgrade to 1 new style and 5 old ones.

If I was serious about street C Id definitely say 6 10s is the only way to do it...explorer or a crx

Very nice! We were thinking about trying more power on 1 eighteen to see what would happen on a burp. Still not out of the question.
