I know for a fact that Ground Pounder subs sound really good if you put the time and effort into a good enclosure for them. Granted they are no where near top of the line and even I have some issues with Crunch Products, why does no one use these subwoofers at soundoff's? I put four GP15's in a 78 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme with a GPV 2000.1 on each sub at 1 ohm. It's "really" loud. The Box is tuned at 38 HZ and it pounds.
Now, I've searched through a lot of forums looking for anyone that has actually used these before and wanted to see how well they did or what they may or may not have to say about them. Most people are more worried about showing off how expensive their stuff is and how cool it is rather than giving a real review of a product.
There is a USACI soundoff close to where I currently reside and I was thinking about going, but not without some serious reviews from someone that has actually "used them" rather than someones "opinion" of them. I put in a USACI disc and played them at 45hz and couldnt sit in the car. I've used a lot of products over the years ranging from companies that like to turn defects into features to some higher quality stuff, but am at a loss with at the current moment in time.

im not seeing why your conserned about reviews on your subs? they are a very decent low"er" budget woofer, theyre not crap and not top ranking either. they are cheap to buy and in a properly build enclosure using those subs to tweak it, they have potential.
A friend of mine used 4x 15" crunch in a wall with 4 small crunch amps 1200 watt maybe.....scored a 151!!! and those subs were the bottom of the crap pile!
if your contemplating not attending a show because your not sure of how you will place, it just shows your affraid to be a sportsman lol if your setup is as potent as you claim, then whats the worry? if it doesnt excite the mic sensor, it will probally get alot of attention from spectators considering the low tuning of your enclosure!
go to some shows and good luck with the ground pounders

Adam, like canadian no-wall said, don't worry about what others got, I'm sure there are many people who have those subs, but just to dam shy to talk about because they're worried about what other people will say. Remember,in the right enclosure a mid-level sub will sound better then a top end sub in a incorrect enclosure. Its 80% build and 20% equipment. I run crunch / Hifonics amps all day long. Great product, my building skills is another question! lol
Have fun and show people what ya got! here's my music comp setup.
everyone laughed until, I cranked her up! did a 143 on music. no one laughed any more!

i recently sold 3 pair of gp12d4 and they sounded great the only issue we had was one of the domes had broke loose and he thought he had blown a sub but i glued it back and its still pounding lol and we are using prefab sealed and ported boxes oh yea and i also had a set of the grp12d4 the cheapest of the crunch subs and a freind wanted to try them so we threw them in a sealed box pushed by a rockford 400.2 and to my surprise the hit hard enough for him so i lucked out there lol

I have 2 10 inch crunch ground pounders and had them on a crunch gp 2500d in a very well researched and built box and was able to score 145 music and 146 burp on the TL and this year will be with A GPV2000.1 amp and different box. I love crunch as it has brought home trophies for me at a great price and have also beaten people with equipment 5 times the cost of my equipment.

I will have to take some pictures and post them on here. My brother uses all high end Orion HCCA equipment and about crapped himself when he heard mine for a fraction of the price he paid.

I am all done except for some cosmetic crap. The car is a 1978 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. I have seven crunch amplifiers totaling 9800 watts max at 12 volts. Over 10,000 watts at 14.4 volts. I did everything myself, but am going to have a shop do the custom front panel for the box. I was wrong before, the box is tuned at 43HZ.
Four(4) Crunch GP15D2's
Four(4) Crunch GPV2000.1's. One for each 15.
I have a total of three batteries. I can listen to my system with the car off for 45 minutes and still start my car. Posts: 12 | From: Washington State | Registered: Mar 2008

Entering the SPL arena is like climbing a ladder, you start on the first wrung and work your way up. Go to the shows and think about having fun and showing off your stuff, not the win.......that way when you do win and you eventually will it makes the experience just that much better. I bet i did 20 shows before i got my first win.....just my opinion, go to have fun!!!!!!!!!
