Why not? It still has the string up for testing. Can't get more clear then that.

Reread Thors post. He tells you how to measure the front. I see a string in the picture that goes through the screw hole in the rear, PER THORS post.. How is this wrong?
I'm not saying it's wrong... I said it's unclear.
See, there is a specific point at the front of the car. - lowest window point at the front window.
Then there is a specific point at the rear of the vehicle - the screw hole.
He doesn't show a picture from the point at the front to the point at the rear of vehicle which demonstrates the plane that disects the cars interior cabin.
His pics are great for a street guy to show how high he can build up to in the cargo area but it leaves a bit of an open area for a NW car that can build at the b-pillar.

much better!
Thanks to both of you for taking and posting the pics!

very impressive with only 2 amps. I wonder how many SS1-2 vehicles in the US could even match that score on 2 amps?

how many cubes would a box like that be for 1 18? I'm in the process of building one that's about 6cu.ft with 2 6" aeroports, gotta get it to about 58Hz

The 12" box I tried was 1.5 cubes with a stock length 6" aero port.
I put an old raggedy Nightshade of unknown origin (been sitting in the corner for a LONG time) in there... got up to a 150.6 at 55 Hz -- I didn't have any higher tones on hand but it kept getting louder as I went up. Same exact box used in a customer's CRX does awesome numbers in the 60s... so I'd say it is tuned to about what you are looking for.
The Jeep resonance is 53 Hz so this box was tuned a bit high for it
If I was building one for an 18" I'd do 4.5 - 5 cubes for one of my subs -- for many other subs I'd say 6 cubes would do well.

Well, got some more done tonight before the wifey got home! right now it only a single layer build, gonna brace it with 2 rods inside plus some 2x4 on the outside. should be zero flex. box is 6 cubes and using 2 6" aeroports for breathing. should sound pretty nice.

why you changing to 1 box build? ain't your. 163 loud enough? I say your because it was not done at a competition, not trying to disrespect in any way.

box will be an upfire starting with one layer with fiberglass may add more wood if neeeded, but have found that muti layers has been hurting my spl?? as it takes more power to get a box loud
