That was what I was saying. We also use true RMS Fluke multimeters, but they have the HOLD function for Min/Max. Usually people use Max Hold, and that is a Peak reading, not RMS.

Nightshade, I did not try sub to back and port to side further into the car, only in the trunk area. And yes, the sub to front and ports to the rear the car did 152+ from 47 to 51. So, that is the area you want to try and get the peak. Best for us was 49, but this may also have to do with the ports not beeing finally tuned.

The measurements that I'm talking about are done during an NSPL run. I'm not sure exactly how Fred is doing it, but I've questioned the power that the amps are making from the start. I told him that there's no way that the amps are making that kind of power but he insists that they are. Even Jacob the owner from Sundown Audio says that a 1500d should not even be making close to 1750 watts at 1.7ohms. I completely agree and I know how to measure for rms power. My rms readings have NEVER been the same as when Fred does it at a NSPL event. The rms readings that I have done myself measured 3 seconds into a burp are showing that my amps are making 1411 watts not the 1747 that I've been told time and time again by NSPL that they are making. I've agrued this point until I've been blue in the face but I've been told that I'm wrong and Fred's way of measuring power is correct. When I used peak hold on my meter I got over 4000 watts for power for both of the amps, but I have a simple Craftsman meter that has a clamp and multimeter.
