hi guys,triying to do a slot port box for to 12"s ,have been reading about how to do a slot port box, and alot of you guys give infinite help,but havent find something for my jeep, has any one run a similar thing on a cherokee?? any help would be apreciated!!

I think you already need an fire extingusher. That amp is already on fire! . Only 2-12s? Im gonna have to go with the crowd. Subs up port back. Im working on 6-12s with subs up port back 34Hz in a 4 door blazer. I always like seeing builds so git r done

i think the port is too close to the back wall. maybe its just the pic but it looks like you only have 3in or so from the port to the back wall. thats way too close. needs to be atleast as far away as the width of the port. but other than that it looks good man

If for spl only, I would do about 3cf total internal volume. both subs facing up-in a line running from hood to hatch. enclosure about 14"wide, then whatever front-back length and height. then use two 6" aeroports externally, and start with about 25" long. going horizontal toward the driver's side.
and then adjust box volume, then port length to get the right tuning

Your right. Doesnt it have to be half the length of the port away from the back wall to be functional? **** I dont know.. I never built a box for music before lol.. Infact Ive never finished a box before.. Right now thats like a port for show. You might have to make the hole bigger and the port shorter. Might require rebuilding the box.

With a port so close to the back wall you got to be tune to 20 hz or less LOL

the port has 4 inch from the back, i am going to star testing and cutting port from there, THANKS D BASS, i will test that box ans see what happens.
