you might be right. he switched stuff around a lot. i thought it was the 6500's because of size/space. I know it was later the Sampsons

No way that these enclosures will be able to do a 165... my guess is 155-157 if you are lucky.... they way you designed your boxes really limits what you can do to tune them. the way the port is layed out I cant think of a way to modify it and the speaker chambers are a really funny shape which might result in some loading issues. Hope it all works out for you but I would have just built a regular wall instead of those two boxes... plus you need alot more power to do that kind of number in a SS setup with that little of cone area

i have known people with these types of boxes and they have performed very well. As far as loading is concern I have loaded them and it wasn't a problem. Just haven't metered the car yet. Posts: 14 | From: United States Virgin Islands | Registered: Oct 2008

This is the proximity from the box to the dash. The dash has been reinforced with 1" MDF, foam, fiberglass and it also has been sealed off so there are no vents, etc.

You would be better off with a common chamber driver side port enclosure than that. In an extreme vehicle, your tuning is going to be higher, and those ports look way too long to get a higher tune. I also don't like the angles behind the baffle. I think it will make the woofers cones load weird under pressure.

by loading, they don't mean mounting the subs. It's the way the wave/airpressure behind the sub affects the woofer
