I'm looking to do 150 on music daily.

What sub/s totalling $400 would you all suggest for 13cu ft gross in an extra cab toyota?

Power will be supplied by a 160-250 amp alt, single battery and a BXI2006d.

Or just run what I have, sounddeaden the hell out of the vehicle(none currently), upgrade my wiring to 1/0, and get the H.O alternator.

This is the pressure I'm producing now, it has not been metered with the BXI yet but did 136.4 legal with 360w.

150 on one battery? and $400 worth of sub/s, mmm doable but may take a lot of planning and work.

Well it sounds like I'm probably at the most I can get without dumping a ton of cash into my setup.

So I guess I will upgrade with a Big3, a H.O. alternator, a new battery, sounddeadener and this enclosure below walled into my truck.
 -

Do you think I can pull off 4-5db by doing the above upgrades?

not if you damp, your model truck likes high frequency and 30hz tuning your going to loose db's

So if I use deadener I wont gain as much???

This box compared to what I have is only 1db lower from 50hz and up, but I gain 1-2db from 45-40 and 3db from 40-30.

put the port on the driver's side. squeeze all the subs into the passengers corner. make sure you brace the box like crazy. a box with that big of panels can lose HUGE dB's by not being strong enough and flexing

Just got back from some testing and building in my friends Old Alero 2 door with two DD99112's in trunk. Started with 300w clamped power and spl 142.5db and music 141db. With 1100 clamped power of power spl 146.6db and music 145.5db. With 2800w clamped power spl 149db and music 148db. And this was a full music box in the trunk with port and subs facing forward.

Point is that it took at least 3000w to get a 149db with 12's so assuming that we stepped up to 15's we could maybe gain 1-2db and be at the 150db mark on music. That's a minimum cost of $1500 in subs and amps not including the $600 in batteries. Good luck.

Yah we where surprised how efficient it was. Whole thing started at 5.3cf and it was loud at 42hz but wasn't very punchy and higher frequencies didn't hit very well. Then took it down to 4.5cf and once tuned it was with in .5db at 42hz of when it was bigger but was 3db louder at the higher frequencies which made a huge difference for the sq. Hoping with a little more power will be able to music a 150db.

Pic is before we took 3" off the back so now it's 3" further in the trunk still facing forward.

Once we shrunk the box and tuned the port it was with in .5db from 43-47hz. But his Alero is fully sound deadened and the car peaked 42-43hz.

Use three fifteens firing forward and a port all the way across the top of the box.
