That is a custom job by Coy Hillson at Powermaster. Hes their Chief engineer and he built two of these for Mike Hughes. I got em off him. They are supposed to make 350 amps and can push up to 20 volts. I dont know the importance of having the fastest reaction time in the industry..but they got that too. Unlike the ones on the website these can be used daily in the street.
I got the tensioner at auto zone and painted it black lol.
I have to put it back in when its not ****ing frigid florida cold outside.
Theres two of them =] I'm only using one for this car.. maybe one for another.

If you are going totally extreme on the build, you could concentrate more on more batteries to add to your system. That would help your voltage drop and score more than alternators would.

I know.. But Since I already spent oh.. 500 bucks on an alternator I'm damn sure gonna use it. Its just for charging batteries in the car is all. Also a little eye candy. Adds a little wow factor under the hood. Check it out.
upside down I think.. bad angle.
a little carbon fiber action in there.
Thats my alternator, done. I'm not ****ing with it anymore. I need to do something constructive today though.

The floor is now 4 inches smaller. Its got some gaps but the resin is coming soon.
This is just the start.. thats gonna be sealed off. I think a few more sheets of mdf will be thick enough ontop.. then the doors, then the roof. how am i gonna press the petals? I got 8 sheets of 3/4 mdf as well. I also cut off the plastic covering the b pillar.

The doors about 6 inches thick. Its not like riprocks or 170phoons but i dont have plexi yet. This is a temp setup. The dash will be gone, the console will be gone tomorrow too. infact.. im gonna rip it out as soon as i get home.. then maybe lay a sheet for the floor. The thing is i gotta get the box in first before i can build the floor any higher at all.

i made some door panels.. the thing is they are too heavy to bolt on just yet.. the door will break off. i gotta take the doors off and box up the hinges and weld some steel into the hinge mounts.. that wal it'll try and tear the whole car apart instead of breaking the door.
I'm doing the floor as well.. just need to take some pics of it.

glass bubbles and cabosil?? I assume you're using the glass bubbles like microballoons to make sanding easier? and the cabosil to thicken the resin to hold on the more vertical surfaces?

Do you have a crank pulley that will accomodate the 6 rib belt or are you going to use the factory 3 rib?

im using the 3 rib.. it works pretty good. It'll slip at higher rpms. It can fit a smaller belt too..
I got an updating coming tomorrow after I drill these holes in that big copper stick. =]

We built a new rack to hold 12 ontop and 6 down below for a total of 18. As the money slowly comes they'll start appearing in stills of the civic.
Sorry for lack of updates, things have been rough. The floor is also pink because its poured solid with resin and some sand.

its like 16 cubes but it'll be chopped down to about 10. 4 amps fit between the batteries and enclosure too.. its gonna be very cramped. This is also my first attempt. If it doesnt work out I'll post pics of my crappy scores =[
The floor is poured as well. We cut the resin til it turned into about 8 gallons. 2 more and it'll be level.
It DOES fit though.
