does the small street boxes work for daily never tried anything behind the subs though
Some things can work in streetboxes, but you have to compensate for the "lost" volume. So you have to build your box bigger.

Build it strong, Buy a meter, Test and Test some more.
Don't be afraid to try something new just because it hasn't been tried don't mean it wont work. I'm sure the leaders didn't get to be loudest without thinking out side the box.

building stronger also isnt necessarily louder. particularly in street. a little box flex is usually good.

I have always wondered about that, even with our extreme car...but I imagine that the box would need to flex at the right frequencies in order to see a gain and not a loss. How do you control what frequencies the box and/or vehicle vibrates at? Test, test, test, I assume!

In my personal testing for street classes if you have the room stronger has been louder, but as I said every vehicle and different equipment react differently. and of course test, test , test some more :-)

From my experience playing with my old Max1-2 Festiva and buddies StB CRX.. there was a "standard list" of things to try:
- Passengers seat all the way forward, flipped forward, sun visor down. - Drivers seat all the way forward, layed back - Fiddle with the AC controls and vents. Typically Demist + Heat worked best - Pushing on the drivers door for Street, passengers for Max - Hold down the hatch on the CRX, and the back window panels too. We'd gain almost a dB from that alone - No right angles inside the box/wall - flare port mouthes. We'd use 1/2 PVC to flare the outside of the walls, or the metal bowl & heatgun method on round pipes - Tape around the subs and the box in Street. Never did back to back tests, it was "something to do" between runs at comps - Battery training.. charging up to 15.3V from new, draining down to 12.5V, then re-charging up to 15.3V over the period of a week or two - Cleaning the contacts.. between events I'd loose up to 1dB due to corrosion of the contacts/buzz bars/cable ends
There was always debate of small boxes/ports versus larger. I always prefered large boxes and lots of port, but I never had the luxury of 0.25ohm loads and amps that could handle it.. so I always went the efficiency route.
Before I quite the SPL thing (back in 2006) I had a folder that was about 2" thick with notes, diagrams, specs, etc.. I recommend writing down everything, you do forget.. I know I have
Anyways, the above was the standard stuff I'd do before even bothering to test. Just from doing the above, and setting the gains with a CRO, my buddies CRX went from 148.1 to 151.8dB in a night haha
