Actually, that box was built out of 1.5 inch trupan so it technically was smaller then 10^3.

I think I'm going to change some things up

I'm wondering if 3 15s in 3.5 cubes per and 6 4'' aeroports wouldn't be louder then the 4 15s that are in like 2.5/3 cubes per

the 2003 expedition I did had approx. 14cf. four L7 12's, two Kx1200.1's. Did a 148.5@37Hz. I'm sure it could have done a 150 if it was tuned higher. More power would have helped too. St-C setup

Nice box! Whatever I end up with next, im going to try ports firing to the rear. I was always taught that the bigger the box (within manufacturers specs) the more efficient the woofer will be. Thats why I made my boxes so big (8 cubes each). I faced the ports up because with such huge boxes and w/ my future batteries being behind the 2nd row seats, my boxes is almost flush up against the back gate, well there may be 1" of space there, but thats it. But if I shrink my next box down some, ill definately have room to fire the ports back.

1" against the gate is too close. For me, 4" from the gate worked best if you want to port it to the rear.

I have updates finally! I still have the same box for now, (I gotta get it metered and see how it does before I build another box). I got that new Pioneer 5100dvd, kicker kq5 in the dash, a Kinetik 1800 under the hood (I will probably end up turning it the other way around though) and I have 1 HC 2400 for the back, and I build a battery rack the goes between my woofer box and 2nd row seats. My next step is to get some 0ga wire to hook it all up. For now both my brutus ampd will have to feed off just the HC1800& HC2400 until i can scrape up the cash for 2 more 2400's

Ok I finally finished the install (for now ...)
Got it metered at 2 shows this weekend.
146.9 and 147.3 @ 43hz in ssnw.

I was doing 142's and 143's until I figured out that I was clipping the mess out of them. I cut the volume down a few notches an BAM! 146's and 147's.

I haven't done any testing yet, so that may or may not be my freq. but with some testing and some sound deadening i should be able to get another db or so. Now its time for me to save up for a pair of American Bass 500.1's for next year! I'm also gonna build(or have built) a smaller box with subs up and port back.
