I am planning on buying 3 magma 12's and a 200dhc for $1200 is that a good price? What do i need to do so my electrical system with lets these things bump?

heheheheh... wow. there's a question fielded towards me, I guess...
as far as the price goes...its fairly decent. I'm sure a local dealer could've swinged a slightly better...(or just gotta have connections)
Since you are pushing 3 magma 12's one a single 200DHC (which is fine)...
1. ATLEAST 4 AWG WIRE (ifnot 2awg or 1/0) 2. an upgrade to your factory alternator would help. If you have above a 90 amp, consider it - below almost manditory. 3. ATLEAST 2 Deep Cycle Batteries
Thats really it...
Mental Note: REf*ckin'INFORCE THOSE BOXES!! My dealer and I purchased a magma12. Built a 1 cube box and powered it with a MTX 752 (37.5 w/c) and it did a 128 before the box started falling apart
Honest and true story.

I would say you could get by with 4Ga power and ground. Unless you have a few other amps as well. Make sure you have a good ground that is a week link in many systems. And one good battery out back like an optima would be fine. Unless you are the type that plays long and loud then get a second. The alt upgrade is always a good idea. But you could get away without it for the time being.
I am running my system now which includes a 200dhc on just 4Ga and 2 optima yellow tops. No Alt upgrade.

YES REINFORCE THE BOX BIGTIME. I have to XMAX 10's in a 1.5cuft box "something like that" and it isnt reinforced. Just blow the side of the box open today. So far the back as blown of and the side hmmm o well going to sell them and build a wall so I dont care hehe. And you can bet I will reinforce this wall sooo much if I get in a wreck the car will crush around the box :P

Quick question, how can you people blow boxes up. What are you making then out of cardboard? I had 4 XMAX ten's in .55 a piece and never had problems with the box blowing apart. Actually never blown open a box in seven years of doing this. I just can't understand this box blowing. Screw the box together every 2 inches, use liquid nails on all the joints, silicone the inside joints let dry and play, never breaks. Use fiberglass resin for extra reinforcement.

I just blew a box away about 2 months ago, Screws every 6 inches, glue, fiberglass seams, and enough threaded rod to build a space shuttle... it just wasn't made for 1600+ watts on two twelves sealed... Its not hard to blow up a box if your not careful about ultro low frequencies...

AGREED: how do you blow boxes apart?????? I only use screws every 8-10" and I have given subs as much as 1500rms each. I use .75" PARTICAL BOARD and a little liquid nails and in over 7 years of building not one fell apart- or even rattled for that matter!!!!
Oh yeah, and I don't even have to let them set to dry. Just build and abuse!!!!

Good thing you asked the question here about the 200DHC b/c Eartquake sure doesn't know a thing about it! It is ashamed how little companies know of their product or the fundamentals of how it operates. Period.

Blowing box`s apart, man someone needs to take cabinetry over again. I built a few pathetic boxs out of 3/4" plywood and wood glue and an nail gun for a couple of Punch Powers and pushed 1000+ watts to them and never hurt the box a bit. Infact I was kind of impressed with them The kid was a cheap @$$ and didnt want to spend over a $100.00 on a box.

Thump is a brand sold by Anaba Audio (last I checked). and I doubt the 200DHC is made by them.
