on saturday we hooked up the 14 batterys we have the 4 memphis mojo 15q1's to one memphis 4kw running at 1 ohm we are burping at 53hz with next to no voltage drop doing a 153.6db not too bad for one amp at 1000 watts per sub if you ask me. No mods to encloser no interior in front of b piller

update...... added another amp so 1/2ohm per amp (x2) 4 subs got to a 157 @ 53htz... also clamped the amps and got 5200rms at 1/2 ohm at 1.67 imped rise... (each amp)
tonight we are going to shrink the cube from 42 cube to about 34cube and add 2 more amps but run each at 1 ohm...

i know that your using 18"s but is it possible to use 4 15"s and easily bust a 58+ with a similar setup im probably going to start in meca radx class for my first year to get my feet wet before i step up to dbdrag

been there same problem. freq goes up but the score goes down.

i have to be tund around around 60 plus if i tund lower the number gose way down

Did you use the same volume as at 53 hz when you burped at 62 hz . the reason i said that is when i was at 59 hz and the volume level i used for it worked good but then i raised it to 63 hz and had to turn the volume down 3 clicks and gained . there is more to it .i am learning and finding the tricks for my van but it may not work for all vans .

ok so as of right now we are a 29.4cube and was playing at 62hz shunk the port by 4 inchs and are now playing at a 54hz back up to the 157db however since we shrunk the box the subs started over heating and stinking but didnt in 40 cube. and port doesnt seem to matter on subs heating up just as bad smaller as it was when it was bigger.
oh and a + and a - we broke the window seal on the passanger side all the way up A piller.

if the subs im using are designed for 3.4^ ported each will they survive in 40^ im hoping to play 65 hz just in the middle between the guys at 52 and the guys at 70 im thinking ill have alot of test n tune i live outside of town and my shop im getting is next to a major highway i really lucked out huh i used to have to build in the city and the neighbors were horrible plus i found the van already lowered on some rims and a real custom paint for 250 he says it needs a motor i never said i have a gm dealer mechenic on the team oops check it out on www.myspace.com/splaudio sorry to hyjack wont happen again

After testing and tuning lastnight we called it a night and let the subs amps and batterys cool and rest. First thing this morning when we got in without batterys being on the charger all night we got a 157.4 at 54hz.
Adding 6 more batterys and going to test and tune more. Rp (soundcheck) wants a 160 for his birthday that was yesterday but i dont think we are going to get it this weekend. I hoping for a 158 today.
PS make sure every tells him happy birthday he turned 25.
