looking for some advice or tips on building a econoline van for spl, from tuning to anyhting else some one has stumbled acrossed. I have heard Riley and perilo ran econolines Currently I am competing in Street Max Upgraded to four 18" woofers two CS 5kw amps soon to be two more amps. Seems my peek freq is around 57 hrz. Also curious on thoughts on a all steel box??? I know an E250 isn't a ideal spl van but price was right and it works for me so far.

I use a prnd grix for my spl car lol. So are you going to go to ss 3-4 then? How mean batts are you going to run and a brand. THe steel boxes are for the outter layer from what i have seen. and then add the wood make the bax as big as you can and then go from there. All stuff i am sure you know. but there will be more ppl that can give you better info. Good luck with the build O one more thing MUST HAVE PIC LOL

I would put the negative side towards the front of the vehicle.

Looks like the first picture has it that way.

The Street Max class retains the "normal use" restrictions associated with the Street division while allowing the contestant to utilize a "wall" in his or her installation.

not trying to make trouble just trying to figure things out and i have one was thinking of playing with and what about

Cargo vans and commercial vehicles are prohibited from competing in the Street Division

would that be figured as a cargo van?

NOt all street rules apply to street max. I ran this last year with a diff set up but same box. like 15 shows with this vehicle. I prolly wouldnt be able to compete if they ruled out vans i use this one for camping the weekends i hit shows out of town. Laugh it up but saved me well over $1,000 not having to pay for hotel. Campgrounds are cheap and have a lot more fun there vrs being traped in a htoel. [Wink]

You don't need rear windows if you have a wall.
