Here's what happened today. Its not done yet but the work for today is done.

As the dust setteled............we find the remains of 2 Gallons of fiber glass and 3 Gallons of bondo.

There are spots bewteen the box and B-pillar that are 3 inchs thick of fiberglass.

Just wanted to show the progress. This was ALL done today by my self so I'm pretty pround of my work.

All I had was a 1/4 board sander...a little larger would have been faster. I'm also 2 cheap 2 buy new spreaders, so the body filler took a little extra work to smooth out.

Got a little more work done tonigh. However I was able to pick up most every thing I'll need to finsh the box.

Just got to get a few hours free and start spreading some resin. I also am waiting for better days so I can start primeing and blocking all the filler.

Yea..just wish I had a better one....a gas mask would be REALY nice right now. Dust in the mouth and nose.....or dust in the eyes. Gogels and a dust mask don't seem to get a long real well.

Don't worry about the spider cracks in the last pic.....had to spry some primer on the filler as it's going to rain and I didn't want my filler soaking up all the moisture. It easy removabe and is only surface.

I will be adding 1 more coat or resin to the inside of the box before I fill the screw holes in with filler. Then comes the fun part of sanding out the orange peel of the resin.

The top round over still needs 1 more coat of filler but its getting close. This is NOT just molded PVC pipe. The edges were 45'd with a saw to get them started THEN came the hard stone grinder......all rounds are shaped into the wood free hand. Filler was to add streanth back to the thin(er)edges and make sure every thing is smmoth.

Not sure how fance I want to get but a guy showed me a trick on the resin to a easy finsh. Lets just say he showed me how to make the resin look like clear coat our polyurathane. Glass smooth finsh with very little work. Not sure if I'll take that rout or just sand and paint the finsh inside.

Still have a lot more work ahahead of me but it's starting to look like more than just a wooden box.
