These subs are VERY stiff.....I'd bet you would break the cone before moveing it by hand.
With a little luck I should have a face for my box done this week...and find out for SURE how much port area I get.
Every thing at home has worked out for me(had some money issue's) so I should also have a few more amps this week.....and then I can get to work. Just waiting on batterys now.

Got a little more done today. The rear part of the box race is done....only 3 sheets thick,or thats as thick a peice as my saw can cut at once. I'll be finshing the face tommorow and adding a few more layers.

The face only has 32 glue lines in the wood.....I should have just made it out of 1/32's veneer myself so it sould have been STRONG.....but I'm betting lazy and running out of money.
This wood is CRAZY strong....I compared 11 diffrent brands of birtch and in 4 diffrent grades, this was the 2nd strongest, the strongest weighed a LOT and cost was 2x's. I also considered MDF and HDF as well, The weight wasn't worth it and the birtch I ended p useing was stronger.
The only thing that I could have done better would to have been makeing the ply my self from 1/32 sheets but it would have taken WAY to long.

I plan on testing both ways. I'm also going off last years testing that the van liked less space but will check to be safe. I also want to make sure that my batterys are covered up in case something happens.
I am also takeing it to a dealer show and Tjs Audio was begging me to make it look half way respectable.....so it's in for now.
Who knows it may turn out I don't have to sand bag till finals....just remove the rack.
