Started cutting 5 more plates for the baffel tonight. Picked up more resin as well. Looks like I got a lot of work to do sunday.
Now I just need to find some 6 and 8 inch tubeing for my round over.
I know it's a long shot but I'm hoping to see 1.5-2 Db gain with the port and baffel work. Maybe get my freq into the low 60hz range. Then I'll thow some 16 volt batters into the mix and see what happens.

Well I got lots of work to bondo and resin the baffel into place. FOrgot to day was my wedding aniversy(dam 6 years already) so wife won't let me though the van....or even walk near it.
Spent a few hours tonight....only used 4 lbs of screws and 20 pack of philps bits. Added 5 more layers to the baffel. Threw a quick coat of bondo on and roughed out with some 36 grit disc's just so it didn't look so bad. My circles were more like ovels.....oh well they make fiber glass and bondo for a reason.
Did I ever say how much I HATE sanding bondo thats at eye level ? Also sanding what you can't see(with out laying in cloud of dust) is a ROYAL SOB !!!!
Well I need 1 more thin coat in a few spots and my chunky dryed out bondo just isn't doing the trick. So next I get to clean the box out and go in to open the round over on the back of the baffel up. YEA ME !!!!!! Not like bondo dust in side a box ever gets bad or any thing.
I think this time round I'll fill all the screw heads inside the box and blend my center suport to the floor of my box and the top of the box.
Hopefully I can get the baffel and box work done and crack open the resin this week end. Looks like it's time.
Still unsure if I will paint the inside of the box before I resin or not.
Well hope this is done soon I'm getting bored of working on this from 8pm to 12:00AM.

The van made it's pre set goal. 160 flat with 2 15's and over 1500 burps and 2 "pocket" amps. Ohm load was 2x's higher then I had planned on. I had 6 batterys and they was 2 less then I had planed.
I had planned on useing 4 2k6d's, I used 2 7k2ds for finals but haveing had no time for setup and testing with them it was point less, there was not a gain worth talking about. I would have needed a few days to play with the amps to have seen a real gain.
So this is how the build log ended, for any person that may ever find this post in a search this will help you if you payed attetion.
The finals resulats before I cut the box apart.
1994 Chevy Astro van EXT cargo van.
2 Apx 15's D1.4 3 extra stiff spiders, subs well worn. Stiffer subs were louder with box work.
2 2k6ds, Slight tweaking to the D** and R***. 4+ and 4- 2/0 PER amp. Very tight fit and took some creative thinking.
6 Kinetic 16 volt batts. 64AH 2 1/2 years old nevr seen a AGM charger in there life. Voltage droped to 14.5 under burp from 17.8. No alts.
20 Cubic feet after displacment, the back wall is very important, it MUST be very ridged.
512 Sq inchs of port, that was the most that was uasble with the power and state of subs spiders.
Baffel was 6 inchs thick with a 8 inch PVC pipe cut to fit. It gave a rediced radious and was a gain over a sharper round over such as 6 inch PVC.
6 coats of resin wet sanded, hand glazed and waxing the inside of box was .4 gain.
No angels of any kind.
160 flat at 56 Hz.
2 more batterys and good working recones I'm confident it could have gotten to 161 with a little tweaking.
When I can afford to return to No Wall be ready to see things change. I did all that on less then $4000 beginning to end.Next time 2 18's and 2 amps(just a little bigger) 166+ will be the goal !!!! I will be back DD/Stetsom
