Topic: 2nd year NW Build..Say hello ta me lil friend
A few pics to get things started for my NEW BETTER NW build. This is going in my 1994 Chevy Cargo Astro van. All this is going to be power by 4 Colossus XXV amps( have 2 ordering 2 more). 16 Interstate workaholic batterys....and of course a MAXXLINK. 2 Apx subs have been ordered with D1.1 coils. 2 180 Alt's will be here SOON.....if they ever get the rest of the parts to finsh building them. Other wise I will haev to look into a diffrent model. 6 more runs of 2/0 welding cable are being installed....off the Alts seeing how there isn't even a battery under the hood. The van will be undergoing some frame work shortly to allow for all the added weight, as this WILL be street driven DAILY. There will be MANY more pics to come. Well finshed the sides of teh box tonight. Made it as far as test fitting EVERY thing. So heres a little of what it looks like. To make sure I stay with in the rules I opted to cut the panel as opsed to the gas filler neck. Well slight issue with the triming for the filler neck....have to trim a LITTLE more of the side. Final was able to fit the right side panel....with a press fit into the b-pillar and the rear side frame....and huges the wheel wells. Managed to do it all with out cutting on the van....BUT REALY wished I could have would have made for a LOT bigger box, but there's alawas next year. Got cought trying to take a nap...but at 7 dergees F it was kinda hard. Front of box is channeled to fit the B-pillar. Was final able to fit the left side around the gas filler neck. Turned out I just need a BFH to make it fit. [ 02-27-2008, 11:00 PM: Message edited by: PeteS ] -------------------- Michigan's 1ST 160+ Bass Racer

Just a peek behind the driver seat. May NOT be fun to drive to shows any more....the seat is back ALL the way. Looks like it's time for some spring upgrades. -------------------- Michigan's 1ST 160+ Bass Racer

Plan is to finsh the box tommorow at the shop. The top plate took 4 people to set in the van....and not even trying to square any thing up. So should have some pics of the asambled box....well at least the top...bottom and side's. The face won't be cut till the subs arive. The rear wall will be built after I figure out where every thing will sit. -------------------- Michigan's 1ST 160+ Bass Racer

The box is now screwed together. The top plate is not in the final resting place because I don't have new seat's...that will allow leg room and safe driveing. So here's some more pics. -------------------- Michigan's 1ST 160+ Bass Racer

Next 1....don't think so. This is the largest NW box this van can hold...so no room to expand on the build. Every thing I do will have to be in port tuneing and other little things inside the box. I'm in the middle of replaceing the rear axel seals and bearings RIGHT NOW. Picked up a videration last night from the extra weight....lost a bearing on the RR. Ordered a set of 2000# axel suport springs to day as well. Should have them on tommorow or saterday. -------------------- Michigan's 1ST 160+ Bass Racer
