Admin please move if in the wrong area? Question is when is the thickness of the wire not important anymore? Is there that much difference between 1/0 and 4/0 wire? Like running from the alt to the rear batteries to charge them?

As many runs of what ever you can get your hands on. I ran 2 runs of 1 gauge pos and neg plus 3 runs of 4 ott pos and neg from the front to back. 4 ott is like 3 runs of 1 gauge.

what wire u using for it to be "4 ott is like 3 runs of 1 gauge" the stinger 3/0 looks like 3 4 gauge in one sheild and comes in 30ft rolls i would get 1/0 and get a 50ft roll and get 3 rulns of 1/0 i know depends on run lenght also

Well the 4 ott welding cable I am using when the insulation is stripped off is more than 2 times larger than 1 gauge. its an obvious difference...at least to me
