What is the lowest reactive ohm load any one has used on the XXV Colossue with out haveing the amp go into protect OR haveing to roll the volume ?

Amp is rated at 2 Ohms bridged. I have found post from last year that say any thing from 1 ohm reactive to 2 ohm reactive.

I am ordering new subs and need to make sure I get coils that will work. Last year I fought with a NASTY impeadince rise and want to make sure if I have a large im peadince rise again I am still in the 2 ohm area.

with most subs, you can always recone them to the impedance you want, even if you have to cut, unwind, reglue, and solder the coilwire.
How strong of a power supply do you have for the amp? might make a difference on the answers you get. also, how many coils, and what kind of inductance on a stock coil?

1 amp per coil. 4 amps total and 4 subs.

16 screw top batterys, like 60 Amp Hour(I belive)

2 HO alt's(200 amp each)....lots of wire front to back

I won't be able to recone for about 6 months due to money...so I have to be safe the first time.
