Thanks for all the positive comments, they really help.... I will be out of town until saturday so no more pics until then.
it will roll, if it dont Im in trouble
the car is bagged, so it should be fine,( I will fix and strengthen anything that breaks ) I will be using baltic birch instead of mdf, probably ony 2 layers and then glassed smooth
question for the guys that have done this.
do you foam the airspace between the steel and the sheet metal of the car?
I still havent decided if Im gonna build my own dash or leave the stocker in there, I will be raising the floor abit.

If the steel doesn't do the job to the point that you have to fill the space with foam, then you did something wrong...IMO and experience. Looking good though. I used a total of 7 layers of 3/4" mdf along with the steel in my build.

I dont have space to run 4 layers of wood, so I hoped foaming up the space would help..

you could put your wood in, then use expanding foam sprayed through holes.

yup,I will get the most possible airspace this way, no way I could get as much space assembling outside of the vehicle

If you asked Mikko Virta hi would say that the cage shouldnīt be conected to the car body more then nesesary. This is to reduse the transportation of vibrations to the car. Vibrations = less soundpressure.
