thought I would share my build.

Vehicle: 1993 Volkswagon jetta Bagged, sittin on stockers for now,(I do have some 18s for it), still need's body work and paint.
 -

after the tear out of the wood frame I had in there.

 -

cut out the rear shock tower brace.
 -

welded in 1" .090 square stock between the strut towers and we are offically underway lol.
 -

 -

 -

this is where I stopped for the week, I primered it becuase it was raining and I didnt want it to rust up, I regreted it later.
 -

here is the roof frame, I welded it outside the car.

I thought I would try some differrent tubing for the lower half of the back wall.
1" steel pipe (dynathread schd 30) for fill in pieces.
 -
since I can get scrap pipe all day long free I decided to try it out, its way heavier than the square stock, I added alot of wieght here.

 -

I welded in the roof frame directly to the backwall and the car along the top ridgleline on both sides of the car.
 -
you can also see a floor frame I started, but ended up not using( you will see why later).

welded in some more fill pieces.

since I am the boss at work, I can borrow some tools when I need to, I use this to cut all of my round steel [Big Grin]
 -

more filler pieces
 -

completly filled in.
 -

figured it would be a good idea to weld the back side too.
 -

 -

 -

finished the trunk side lower fill, also added a few more pieces to the top, I may add more, not sure yet.

finished second stage, if you look closely you can see smoke coming off my earthground. [Eek!]

 -

 -

 -

this is the mock up of the last stage of the box floor.

 -

I only get weekends to work on it from now on, I just started working out of town so its gonna slow down abit.

today I welded up the last of the floor, and started figureing out the sides.

most likely I will do the sides like this so I can get as much airspace as possible.

Thanks for all of the positive comments.

for now I have 2 RE MT 18s, I will eventually change them out for 6 15s(in a sealed clamshell), that arent avialable yet and Im not at liberty to talk about yet.

powermaster D3100's not sure how many I can fit,I would like to get 8 of them in the trunk and 1 under the hood, Iraggi Alt or Alts of I can figure out away to bolt up 2 of them.

Rockford T4000.1BD's 1 per-sub.

3 sets of RE XXX componets, powered by a RF T800.4

cant wait to get home to get some more work done.

I dont mind not having the argon, its been fairly windy and no one will ever see the welds once I start laying down the wood.

David

you, me and bunch of other folks.

Its gonna be a long build, while Im not poor I do support a large family and work crazy hours, sometimes in town, sometimes out of town (like now) I have no deadline, But.... I would like to have it playing music by WF's even if its only 2 18s and 1 t4kw and a couple of batts.

stealing a line from a good friend, I'm flying solo on this project, its not extremly hard work, but its time consuming(sp).
