Actually I have taken the system out and I am now getting ready to design the a box for my new toy which the system is still the same only with 2 more 18's and that is a total of 6 18's for street beat competition. This setup is not for the loudest of the day but the deepest. I will post picks when done. We got to show that Cadilac (Steve Meade) Escalade how to get a 160 with 6 instead of 8 and half the juice.

Hey guys, gals, Big fan of Audiopipe, as i'v been raised at an electronics repair shop, I believe i know a few things about electronics, whats a good build and whats not, after seeing the AP amps and thier low prices per quality it was like love at first sight. I am seriously considering on retailing Audiopipe here in Western Canada, however I am young and recently my father retired and i took over his repair business, and it wasn't worth alot when i took over. now as some of you may know, repairing electronics really isn't worth it anymore, so the decision came to expand to retail. Now being in an area where RF, JBL, Clarion and Kenwood are the top brands, remember, this is regional, Its been quite a bumpy road trying to get AP's name out in the open, however, I had just recently brung in a pair of TXX-AP12's Dual 2 Ohm vc, unfortunately only the old 2.5" vc, I plan to make a stand, and with all these great reviews about AP's products, I am proud to say that AP's future here looks pretty bright. At the moment I'm only running the 2 AP12's on half of a pathetic Pyramid Royal Red PB1845X 4ch amp, I'm lucky if i see 300w rms, no i never had the amp accurately tested, nor do i want to, but earlier today I had them SPL tested at 140.0db's even, as i'v done for about 7 years now i had the AP12's sitting in a custom 5.2cu/ft box with 2 4"x10" ports built by myself. Considdering the lack of power and what they were being run in (1984 Merc Lynx H/B), I have to say i am quite impressed. what ya think? any good? Now im just a small town guy and everyone's saying to steer clear of Audiopipe, but imo, i dont see anything wrong, when i'm only 7.3 db lower than the record holder for this region, and he spent nearly $18,000 for every one of those 147.3 db's. Input would be nice. Oh, and i like the score of 170.5db's, quite nice!

I should also mention that the record holder here is running 2 15" Kicker L7's on a 2200w rms JBL amp, not sure of the model, but it is definately a pathetic system.

most of it was labor, hes been through about 5 different boxes to get that score, and he does nothing himself, offering ppl obscene amounts of money to build him boxes, i dont know him well, but i think he should throw some of that cash to me. He already knows i built a box for 2 10" L7's that hit 147.6 db's on a Sony Xplod 1000w max class D in a '90 Chev S10 ex/cab, tbh, I dont thinks hes all there in teh head.

I also just built a box for my brother-in-law for 1 15" L7 that hits at 141.3 db's, sad thing is he just spent $600 on a JBL GTO1201.1 Touring amp that puts out just as much as the MTX MXA600.1 amp, thus, not gaining any spl. yea, prices on things here are rediculously high, which is another thhing i would like to change eventually.

Alright guys I had an offer from a customer and I could not resist. I sold the subs but kept everything else. So now I'm sitting here saying DAMN IT!!! But I'm smiling to the bank! I'm now going to have to concede defeat and accept the Ah Ha's as they come but don't count me out yet. I just ordered 4 of the MX 18's and bought an unusual looking SUV (the Toyota Sequoia) and of course I am going to "Ghettotize" it and get it out there. Steve I don't think I'm gonna get the 160 with this setup but I'll be damn close. I figure maybe a good solid 157.5 or 158. I had a good debate with my box guy and we came to the conclusion that with 24's and all under this truck we are going for powerful lows but with clarity of the whole system so you know "Street Beat". Oh for you ole school cats like me; You got to get DJ Fury's Furious Bass (I-Tunes). I got this CD because it has what you want in bad ass hardcore low bass. Some one stole mine back in 93 and I'm just getting back around to getting it (talk about slow) but anyway I will put up the pics for the setup when I'm done. It aint over for the Big Man........to be continued.

Trust me the way I'm always selling the goods after competitions they won't last long. I have a good retail relationship with some of the guys that run to places like car toys and tweeter and come to the shows and get blown away with their 6 grand set ups versus a 2 grand setup. It always happens and they sit in their fully customized rides and try to figure out where they went wrong and I help them by telling them to stop beleiving everything on Unique Whips and Pimp my ride. Its a show. Do you really think a ride can be put together in 30 minutes? Anyway I'm gonna use these, sell'em and go XXX (i got the hook up with RE)
