I was trying to decide whether to go directly from the battery to the amp via cable or go from the all the batts individually to a buss bar then from theire to the amps...just seemed like a lot of extra connections and distance in between the batta and amps. I will probably do like you did and go directly from the buss bar on the batts to the amps.

what keeps the amps from contacting the bussbars if something tried to move?

There is a thin sheet of wood behind the amps if you look closely, keeping the amps and batts seperated.
