hmmm gavin, the meter is REALLY high at that show, are you testing at the same spot they put the mic? I really don't think there is a 2db gain from being 8'' higher then its supposed to be...but was just wondering if you were testing where its supposed to be vs where they put the sensor

Justin, I found the problem I almost sure. in one word. CLIPPING LIKE HELL! Using my o-scope,22 was a 100% clean signal but....30 was square! backed her down to 28 and that is where she starts to clip a little. I was ready to test but like always the wife came home from the bank, just as I was ready to hit the pause button! [Frown] [Frown] [Frown] Tomorrow is another day!

Are you sure it's too high? When I bassraced my 1999 Astro mine was up there too cuz of the hump for the airbags on the dash.

Justin, I managed to get out today and test a little, the mike is in the exact place the judges put it and yes, due to the air bag on the passenger side, the meter sits right in the middle of the window. give or take a few inches! Since the family went out for a HOT minute, I managed to find out what volume level does what.. ex. vol 14 will give me 140, 16=145 and so on.....so no more mistakes at the comps wondering what level to click to! The bad part, Family came home again just when I'm ready to click past 22=158! [Mad] Darn, I hate those hot minute family runs! I tried to get back to my friends testing place but his lot was full so no space to play. [Sad]

Possibly. It should look like the end of it but all the way across or most of the way. Might be a couple more tenths in there.

The highest bar is the peak frequency.
I have a question.
Will the wife let you play at all, at least one burp when she is home? She could be very understanding about the amount of work you are doing. Neighbors are usually the ones to worry about though.

Have you tried the volume roll?
