Topic: Port question
Having some issues with port length calculations. Have tried this site: http://www.carstereo.com/help2/Articles.cfm?id=31 Have tried Subwoofer DIY. I am running a 2 cube box and am looking to get about 40-45 Hz with external port on 4" ports, but with the site above, it is saying I need something like 18" per port for a pair and up to 40" for 4 of them. Yet if I drop to a single 4" port for the sub, it says I need only 8". This is confusing me a little.

more port area requires more port length to maintain the same tuning. shortening the port will raise the tuning -------------------- Dustin Page 97 explorer 155.8 Team Deaftraps Team Blackawk SPLz Rebuilding for 09
