Why would mikko say not to fill the space between the cage and the body? Just curious..
You donīt want to "transport" any vibrations. Damn I should have studied more english, itīs hard to explain in english.

I will fill the gap in between the wood squares before I layer over it with multiple sheets of mdf. It was just the easiest way to put the metal angle pieces in plus if I did notmake the steel framing completely level on a large scale like the whole floor section, then I would have a little easier time laying the mdf over the raised wood square versus over a bare steel frame that may have high points somewhere in various places. Sorry if no one undestands my babble but I think it makes sense. lol
Well I understand your point, but I think that if you put the sheets of mdf direct on the steel they canīt flex..

Well for now I'm not planning on filling in the voids anyways so I will address that later. The spaces between the wood squares is only about 1.5". I hope that little bit doesn't hurt me too bad. It wont be a completely empty void in between the wood squares. I will be filling it with some sort of thick adhesive to help with securing the primary layer of mdf that will be laid over the wood squares. Thanks for watching the build. Its definitely a work in progress. It will be worth it when its all done I hope.
