With 2 Punch power 1100a2's which would be better for spl?
2 Soundstream spl 170's
2 stroker 12's
2 Punch power DVC 15's
I was going to get 2 stroker 12's but when I went to a shop to see if they could build a box, the box they would build wouldn't leave enough room for batteries in the trunk. One guy here said he hit 149 with 2 spl 170's and 2ft of space for each. The Power dvc's also pach a punch in a smaller box too, and both of them cost under $400 too, but which should I get?

If I were you I would definately go with the SPL170's. They are BAD! First off you would have the advantage in cone area over 2 12's. They have a huge throw and you got the power to make them do it. A long long time ago I had 2 SPL160's. I had them in the back of my hatch back. No upgrades in the electrical system and no batteries. No cabin mods either I had them in around 2 cu.ft. each and were ported up towards the hatch. I had one SS 10.0 pushing them. Thats 1000 watts if ya didnt know. I did a little over 149dB consistanly on the dash DB drag legal. The 170 is a better sub too. I have moved on to bigger and more things! Well thats my 2 cents on the subject. Good luck!
