I will be finishing my install this weekend, hopefully. Questions, is my 225.2 bridged to 2 ohm mono going to be too much for my DVC 15? I know at 4 ohms the bc says 650, I'm betting at 2 it will do more like 8-900 or better. That is quite a bit higher than the 500 watts it takes.

Should I just lower the gains some or how should I keep from destroying my sub?

That sub will take alot more power than you think, just don't clip the amp and 700 watts should be just fine.

You should be fine, that 4" coil will take mondo power. Now, leaving it pinned for several minutes could be hard on it, but as long as you're reasonable there should be no problem.

Dukk,

I thought the DVC 15 has a dual 4 layer 2.5 inch voice coil.... ? And only the powers have a 4" coil.

Well, yeah, RMS on Power DVC is 1k. I wish I had one of those! But since I don't do you still think I'll be OK if I exercise caution?

Adjust your gains when you are competing and then when you are driving in the car. The subs will last for short bursts of high power, just don't use full power when cruising around town.
