You can get a used 9500 for as much as, or less than, in most cases, a used MT...

for reasons like this I'm finally going to put up some vids of me freeairing my MT 18" off my colossus genXX full tilt playing bass mekanik for like 30min. Trying to break it so I could recone it to lower ohm coils. And it didn't break!

I had my MT daily driving off an orion xtrpro 2400d 1ohm dcr. longer than almost any of these guys have HAD their SX or MT both of which weren't even out yet!!! David do you think so, What was mine like one of the 1st 10 in the world made? before production run chrome motor ones. A while before I might add.

I've never had lead problems I've never had coil problems. I recently reconed mine while it was perfectly working I wanted lower imp to get more power and mic higher. To ship the recone costed more than the damn parts. And it was the 1st recone I've ever done. Besides lots of glue around the dustcap its STILL in mint condition. You guys never stop. Lets see a DD9500 play off a colossus Gen XX 1ohm bridged freeair for like 1/2 an hour bass mekanik full tilt (same volume as I play it while maxing it out in box) while dropping handfuls of 3/4" minus gravel on it cd's a hardhat and other crap! I'll ftp the vids to roe tonight and link to pix tomorrow.

I'd be the 1st to say I hate the RE series 8" speakers but to dis the MT or SX is just sheer stupidity or bullsh!t. The RE series is all right but compared to other similar price/range subs they are lacking imo. But their other subs are all very good bang for buck subs and just wang for any price range. I could've got a DD9917 or almost any sub for the amount I paid for my MT after airmail shipping to Hi. I chose the RE for recones, funny thing is I never NEEDED one. Just wanted lol. I thought about DD but their subs just don't appeal to me as much as DD I liked shocker but sometimes they seem hard to get parts for. I think as a company RE is OUTSTANDING who fuggin recones other subs to help out customers that AREN'T THEIR's? People want recones for other subs I see them asking David! Great people imo.

surprises me ALOT.....it dont matter if its not INTENDED for music, i have 4,000 watts on each of my subs playing music and that has never happened. Yes i smoked a few coils going overboard in 2 minute deathmatches with music but never that kind of destruction. 1,000 watts wouldnt do that to an RF HX2 so i know he is Full of $hit by saying that.
