Has anyone been brave enough to put the money down and had this prof. done, Like LineX or Rhino? The dealer said he could spray the whole trunk for $220, he would take the trunk lid off and spray that throughly as well. It only takes a few seconds to dry and there isnt any stench. When it drys it is about 1/4 inch thick. So that will help seal up my stripping as well. He said the rubber isnt very heavy. So I was thinking about welding on some smaller I beams or channel on to the trunk lid to add some weight. Any ideas, input, or should I just stick with dynomat or equvilent. I know that my trunk rattles like a sun of a gun, and needs help.

TIA

that is way too much money.. spray it yourself. it's easier than somebody's mom
use spray on stuff for curves and places with odd shapes and a stick-on deadener such as peel n seal, edead, raamat, etc for flat spots

Yeah that is way to much. A friend of mine had someone do his car and it only cost him $300 for the whole thing. He just took out his interior so they didn't have to do that.

so that DIY goes on fairly easy but do you happen to have any clue as to how well it does for a deadener???

Thanks for the help

the DIY stuff isn't much good as a deadner. Yes Rhino Linings, and Line-X are pretty good, but they still aren't as good as dynamat or equivalent done properly in multiple layers although this gets spendy.

If you can get it done cheap enough the Rhino would be the better choice of spray ons, as it does not dry hard like Line-X.

Spray on bed liners dry fully with in an hour or so. The reason the stuff bought for 80 bucks takes so long is because its a cold process. Rhino and Line x are but on extremely hot. It works wonders on sub boxes (night and day difference). I dont know about the rest of the trunk. Line x uses a lower grade of product than Rhino but the price difference is huge. I personally would look for an ArmaCoating dealer and talk to them.

I used it on the outside of the box. I used to get it done for free because a friend of mine had his own shop. It helps seal the box completely, it adds stength and dead weight to the whole thing. Ive never used it on ported boxes only sealed.

But we built a little sealed box and listened to it without the bed liner on it. Then sprayed it and it sound at least twice as good.

Just my 2 cents for whatever its worth to u.

I have Qwikliner on mine. In my opinion it has less to do with the name and everything to do with the person applying the product.

I would visit the shops and look at freshly sprayed liners and start making my decision from there. I really don't think there is much difference in the product, however application is the key.
For the price, durability, function and application method, I highly recommend the qwikliner bed liner.

I have qwikliner in my current truck and love it... Have not had of the other spray ins to compare it to though...

I like that it has a texture that is non-slip, but yet it is not rubbery, so if you are using the truck to carry dirt/mulch/gravel, like you would with a truck it is a very good surface to shovel and sweep stuff off of...

I love my Qwikliner to death and it has saved my bacon many times since it keeps me from sliding around in my truck's bed when I'm in there with my shoes on!!
