just wonderin which series of memphis produces clean/loud bass. such as the HPO's, SHP's, or LVS's?? im mainly lookin towards the HPO's and the SHP's, cuz i dont have that much money for the LVS's. so, which one of those two subs will sound really loud and also have clean bass???

LVS's are overpriced/underperforming...hence not seeing many of them out there
if you have the money try the SHP's...but the HPO's are pretty nice for the price as well

With that set up i don't think you'll get anywhere near 150 without a lot more power or a wall. I would GUESS lower to mid 140s, but there is no way of knowing for sure, it all depends on the install.

well, i just wanna kill my friends setup: 2 12" HX2's, 1000 watt amp ( 500 to each), sealed box, and cap. hopefully 2 12" hpo's would kill his setup and still turn heads. i know it all depends on the install.

The HP's were great woofers..check them out..they are not in the current line. I know they are in the 2000 and 2001 line. Probably can still find them around.

Grab 4 HPO 12's but get single 4 ohm coils. Wire them in parallel to achieve a 1 ohm load on a ST1000d. That should knock nicely. Oh, and PORT them.
Or you could get 2 HPO's, put them in a 4 cube box, tune it low, and still hit close to mid 140's. I wouldnt over power them daily though, my friend has 2 HPO 12's and he has a 1000d on them, they sound distorted with that much power. They are good subs though.

Go with the two HPO 15's, I did 146.6 dB and 1500 watt amp(didn't use much of that power) with the hp's my first year out in comp. I had a wall in my x-cab toyota with dual 6 in ports in 6 cubes-box was more for looks. With the right install you can be where you want. If there is a will there is a way!!

My 16yr. old son has four HPO 12's with Two 1000d's in a 9cf ported box. D*mn it's LOUD!!!!! Sounds good as well. He just don't get high #'s in the lane, he averages 152-154db's. We are in the process of building a new box.
