Is this the same Aftershock that was hyped so much on pacific-audio's web site? The one that was made by petras, and the "president" was Robby Madison, who turned out to be a kid? If so, steer clear of AfterShock..

KingJames, The company you are referrring to is not us. We were in a little debate with them late last year over the name. Legally, I believe we have full rights to the name, but yet this guy still is using it for his line. I don't like it though, if it is NOW going to give us bad publicity. THE REAL AFTER SHOCK is based out of northwest Ohio and has been in business for just a little over a year. The philosophy of the business focuses on producing a quality driver at a reasonable cost - obviously we have achieved that judging by the scores we have been producing everywhere. If you have any other information on this "other" AFTER SHOCK, please email it to me and I will forward it on to the president. Thanks.

So you guys don't think that the Ground Zero's can compete with the DD's and Juggernauts? I have always heard good things about the Nuclears spl performance. Some guy did 153 with 2 Nuke 12 DVC's and 2 MMats D300HC's, so I think that is pretty impressive.

I think as of now strokers are the loudest, Juggs coming up next. But from what im hearing out of the new HCCAs they might take out them both. i hope they do cause thats what we push, and orion has needed a sub like this for a while.

It all depends on the power, the box, and the vehicle. You don't want any vibration or standing waves. I've personally seen a single stroker 15 powered by a PPI 1400 watt amp hit 155. It was in a 7th order bandpass box. Killer lows.

As far as which sub is the loudest?!?!?! It depends on the application. You could make a pair of 8's sound like a pair of 12' or vice versa..... The only way to really tell is to build the perfect box for each individual driver and listen to it for yourself. The box and amps are what makes the sub "loud". The quality of the sub, as far as power handling and stuff like that, is what allows you to put the big amps to them. But I always believed that if you can fit enough of them in there, then it will be loud, no matter what it is.

I think that given the same power, box, vehicle and impedance they will all be very close. And furthermore, I do not think that you would see much difference with any descent driver ie rockfords, mtx or anything else for that matter.
