Hey man, was it metered in the port? Either way, congrats, and so long as you're happy with your score and how your system sounds, screw what other people think. Especially people who can't find anything better to do with their time but drag around the forums trying to make themselves feel like a "big man" by trashing other people and certian companies !
If you're happy with the money you spent on your system, that's all that matters...but it WOULD be nice if you told us how it was metered. Ash

you're running the jbls at 16 volts huh? where is vegas10? i believe he tried to run his jbls at 16 volts and they did not like it at all, like went into protection hatred. he is not the only one i have heard of that tried running their jbl at 16 volts and it did not like it. i believe the highest was 15 volts or so. let other jbl users confirm this. vegas10 being the first one that comes to mind
but yeah, at least keep your story straight

ALOT of time with JBL 1200.1's and mine act REALLY funny at anything above 15.3...15.4 and they start to whistle. Yes, whistle.
I've also found that I can put up the same number with 14.4 volts as I can with 15.3 No sense in abusing the equipment when you don't have to.
If the port in his car is right between the seat, then he can measure there...just put the mic in front of the port or behind the seat DIRECTLY in front of the sub.
Not necessariily legal by any means, but, I have been to shows where they take measurements with the windows down and in the floorboards...simply because they don't know better.
If he's happy with the score, let him be. But, I would like to know howit would do on the dash, dB Drag style...

man you ppl are negative. why don't you all quit rantin on the guy. think about it. 1. wall <-walls usually mean easy high 150s, and 160s can be had if done right 2. 2400watts of RATED power. if he's pushin 15volts you are prolly lookin at over 3kwatt. 3. metered from the back seats. this is assuming he has an SUV? so of course the score is going to be a little higher.
total that up and sure i don't see why a 162 isn't possbile. you ppl need to pull ur heads out of the box its stuck in an let him be happy w/ what he occomplished. i've been gone from this forum for bout a year now and i come back to find the same childish behavior. its rather sickening.
