umm...we've tried it in the past. We used 2 american pro 12's in a crx with a d2 and hit around 150. Right before they blew.....

...cheap sh*t is good for laughs sometimes...

About a year and a half ago one of my brothers friends had 4 optimus 12's sealed in an extended cab S-10. It was like a semi-wall, there was about 15"s between the box and the roof. Hit a legal 153 at an IDBL comp. Not sure about the accuracy of the score but it was a hell of alot louder than mine.

Waits for the flaming. When I originally posted this a long time ago I got bashed.

Well IdBL is about 2-3dB higher than termpro, but even still, a 150dB from 4 Optimus 12's sealed, would need a hell of a lot of power, like in excess of 2400watts, even with 4 of them, to do that kind of number, but I have seen stranger things happen. I don't know about them 12's, but I guess handling 600watts isn't that amazing, although for some Radio Shack subs, it kind of is. [Roll Eyes] Like I said, it's not impossible, especially in a truck with such a small cabin, but it would be a tremendous feat to accomplish or see though. [Smile]

WHOA!!!!!!.. strange, the audiocontrols at sbn werw 1.5db DOWN fron the termpros there....calibrated to a b&k now [Big Grin] .. anyways...

ran 2 THUMP! 8's in a wall with a cadence a7hc per sub... @ 4 ohms... ramped volume and didnt get far before one sub began smoking.. didnt even make a sound... turned it down, turned it back up and got a little pop and saw sparks... managed a 127.5 , but the subs never really got to play, should have tried them on lower power...same box basically with some very minor port chages i pulled a 149.8 with 2 jbl gti 8's circa 1998 and the 2 a7's bridged

I had two Bumper 15's in a sealed 4cf box run off a Legacy 1400 watt amp. I tested the output of the amp and it only pushed 762 watts total bridged. I did not have it metered but I would guestimate from experience that it was in the 144db region. So for like 250 bucks you can hit pretty good, not much sound quality though.
