I got 2 of these 2002 model subs...aw1200q... and about 4 cubic ft to play with....what is the best setup for them?
got a jbl 1200.1 for the amp.
should i do 1 in a ported box...or 2 in a ported box with less airspace per sub?

Has anyone had these subs on a meter yet?
not the aw1200x subs.....just the aw1200q's
i do not care what anyone says, they are a world of difference between them.....I owned a 1200x, I beleive it is a far better sub.....

I had two in my civic each in their own virtual technologies box. They were powered off an old 600 watt orion amp and still hit 149.4. I would go with the both of them in VT boxes I think are like 2.5 cubes tuned to 30 hz or so check out their website it will tell ya.

i put up a 55 on the audiocontroll meter and i also had 4 of them with two planet audio 2250d's on them and it really hurt my feelings to know that was all they had in them. A fellow installer is doing 55's with 2 of the zetar 15's from planet audio and it made me sell the audiobahn's and get 4 zetar's it is expected to do 65's or higher. just something to think about..

yeah something seems off about that. You had 3000 watts more than I did and only got 5 dbs out of it? Grant it 5 dbs is alot but still something seems off. I have had nothing but props for those subs. I took em out of my civic and put them in my buddies 4runner and they are slammin in it. Havent put it on a mic or anything and doubt it ever will but im impressed with them. Esp. for the money
