Ok , here is the skinny on micing my stuff!!

On my termpro i hit a 157.7
Steve hit a 148.6 on the SAME mic!

when i go to a comp i hit high 140's "148" and steve hits mid 140's "144" in the same lane with a termpro system!!!

thats a 9 db drop from my mic on my system and only a few db drop with steve , this is pissing me off , what is the deal here , this seems very weird.

There seems to be a theory floating around dealing with the frequency one plays at the show. I wonder if the Scraper would input his ideas on this 'freqency' dependant matter???

Yes we went through this last year. Mike Stiers had that theory as well as Terry Brock. Not sure what exactly the results were, but there's something fishy about some of the mics that are used. It's so hard to get consistent results on any kind of mic. Thapharsyde, you still running the 3 DD's and 3 1500hcx's? Are you gaining anything in SPL? Did you do anything different?

Jay , i am now running AW1508Q's in a new box , "this one was built the right way , no HUGE Hole for a port :3)" it hits very hard and even hurts to sit in it. And when i had the DD's i miked it before we went to the N. Canton and it said 155.8 and as you seen Jay , there results wasn't to pleasant!!!! a 148 on theres and my car looked like it was going to cave in. I am pretty sure you heard it...BTW Jay , how do i adjust my amps so they are all the same exactly , Like using a multi meter on the woofer outputs , the woofers are in the same encloser and i want to be sure that they are all set the same !!!

set your DMM to measure AC voltage and connect it across the speaker outputs of the amp. Meaure the voltage coming out of the amp and then use the DMM to set the output AC voltage on the other amps to the same [Smile]

i know what you're going through. with my first system i hit 144.7 on one audio control and 145.8 on another (same freq.). with my second system i hit 145.8 on the first a.c. and 152 on the second. now my 145.8 was at 55hz. and my 152 was at 44hz. figure that out.
