Ok guys, I have a 1998 Civic DX Hatch, i have a box that a built, 52.5sq in of port, around 4cu/ft net space, tuned to aproximately 31hz.. right now im running 2 MA Audio 12XE's (2002 Dxi's) subs up vent up, vent right at the hatch... the question is, should I tune this thing higher? I will be going to a comp soon to test it out again, and I want to take the trophy with me... i know these subs are cheap, but hey, so is my competition. Everyone likes sealed boxes around here.. hehehe. Anyone experienced with this body style civic? 96-00 that is. 98 to be specific. Right now, I have a single Bazooka P500d running these 2 subs, @ 1 ohm. Not sure the exact power. Running 4g stinger cables. What can I do to reach a very high 140 or low 150s??! yes, I am down for changing things.. but, a kick in the right direction with what i have would be great!!!!! Thanks a ton guys! If ya guys can, email me some ideas!!!

Try tuning in mid to high 40's for a peak in the mid to high 50's...keep in mind this will sound like ass though...that's only for SPL...for daily driving you have a good tuning right now...

I have a 2000 Civic HB. I run an Eart5hquake D2 and a pair of Crossfire 12"s. My box is 3.6 cu ft.,my port is about 25 sq in and I use around 56 hz. depending on the weather. My high is 153.3db and my cert. is 152.8db...my avg. is 153.0db... Subs fire up and port back. Keep the port at LEAST 4 in. from the back! Good luck.

A-1 steak sauce s.u.c.k.s.! It's ok what I write, I used that and that is what it did in my car. Now what I use is what you will see in Palmdale. I have nothing to hide. I am not cheating. I plan on competing fair, and if I lose. I lose w/ dignity. If I win, I win w/ pride....And then maybe talk ZHITZNIT and be C0ck.y... NOT, I am from SOCAL>>>> Just remember one thing, you have to compete against Victor,Jerry and Myself...and John if he shows up ready....from SOCAL! So good luck w/ this lineup. We will be ready to comepete FAIR! Show up to Palmdale, Ontario and Brea! Show us how itz done in Norcal...

now that sounds like a fun challenge! You even said it in a non offensive manner. Why all the talk about fair. I never said your set up wasn't on the up and up?? Are you tryin to say someone else is cheating?? as far as us nor cal boys... we are bringin it with force! If you keep the attitude to the side this will be a fun show

I am just curious what all this talk about being fair is, if someone said you cheat, it certainly wasn't one of us. All we have talked about, is your attitude. It's sad that you want to turn this into a northern Cal, vs. a Southern Cal weekend, all I am in it for is fun. May the best man win, and if that happens to be you, I'll shake your hand and congratulate you, question is, can you do the same if somebody else wins?

your car will jam at 53-56hz i think people are tuning way to low.

What else do we have if this is not going to be a SoCal vs. NorCal? It's only us afterall, SoCal and NorCal. Not till we head East to Nashville will it be, WestCoast vs. Eastcoast. Right? It's OK, I use ONLY WestCoast product! A little NorCal and a mix of SoCal equipment. With 3 days left to Palmdale I am feeling the edge now. I hope everything runs well with all. Are you NorCal folk going to make Ontario and Brea too?

I think you missed the point.............The actual question was......."May the best man win, and if that happens to be you, I'll shake your hand and congratulate you, question is, can you do the same if somebody else wins?" Not whether it was a Nor cal, vs. So Cal............BTW I will be at all 3 shows as well
