Hi, Im new to Termpro but have been reading for awhile, I have kind of a dilemma. I just ordered a Digital Designs 9515-4/4 and am trying to choose between a couple of amps...
Nexus Lion MMATS 300dhc Earthquake d200hc
Which one of these would be the best? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance

I would suggest two of any of those. Those subs can handle crazy amounts of power. Any of them should be fine. If you are having budget problems, try contacting Tiny Tunes on this board (see classifieds) to hook you up with them. My personal opinion, 2 crossfire 1000-ds with a bridging module, around 2000 watts at 2 ohms.

I was thinking about getting 2 cfas but they acheive max power @ 1 ohm and I want to make the most of the amps I can get. Ive seen those crossfires for 350 which is a decent price for one but 2 is 700 bux and is kinda expensive. Thanks for the input though

I would call my buddy up and run 2 Zapco Studio 500 one per voice coil my buddy is selling them for 450 a piece us so that is 900 dollars us for 2 1000 watt rms amplifiers but the yare only 4 ohm mono stable. If it is a dual 4 ohm driver i would run those amps they woulkd pound the **** out of those sub unbelieveably. but yeah email me back at benthebass8@yahoo.com my buddy had 2 of those running each of his stroker 15 dual 4 he had 12 in total and has 4 left if interested email me. see ya

Sounds like a good setup BUT like I said before 700 is too steep for amps much less 900. I was looking for a single amp to run @ 2 ohms or I would have ordered a dual 2. Maybe I should have ordered a dual 2 so I could add another amp later?? But I have heard it can be a waste of money becuase if you increase the power x 2 it only yeilds a 3 db increase... IS this true? Maybe I should change my order and because many amps Ive been looking at run @ 1 ohm.... I was really focusing on a MMATS d300hc though and I know they can run @ 1 ohm. Do they hit peak watts @ 1 or 2 ohms?
Thanks for all the help

One thing to note - Crossfires will have their peak recommended power rating at 2 ohm when bridged together - although they CAN handle a 1 ohm load bridged.....

How about the Earthquake 200dhc? Havent heard much about the execpt that they might not be good for daily driving.... The Nexus Lion- Does it put out 2000w RMS? That would be a great deal if it did. If not what is a realistic figure @ 14.4?
