I emailed John@mmxpress.com about finding a similar system to my $500 setup (see below) for my g/f's little bro. He suggested that I get an 800 XI Autotek amp (800wrms supposedly) and 2 Crunch Fat Boy 15's. They have the huge surround like the the Ground Zero's. Anyone know anything about these subs and amp. I am almost considering trying it for the price (279 amp, 238 pair for subs).

------------------
$500 SPL
2 JBL GT1500D's
1 Crossfire CFA-1000D
Big, Big, Box
Little Bitty Truck
Going for 150!!!

Just so you know, Autotec is a fine amp. They have had better days, but a few years ago they were one of the better amp companies. It is well worth the money, I don't know about the Crunch sub. Sorry

normaly crunch makes good stuff, up untill they made the fat boy. The sub is as much crap as the GZ itself and for the same reason. The oversized surround makes it inefficent.

Crunch is another Pyramid hybrid. But Autotek`s amps like the Steath and the competion amps are a preety good amp! And almost all Autotek`s are 1 ohm stable.
