A legal reading is taken on the dash with the vehicle closed up (windows up, doors shut, everything). A jig is used to set the mic on the passenger side. This is how dB Drag is done. For outlaw and extreme outlaw you can open up your vehicle however you choose (doors, windows, etc.) Outlaw readings are when a judge is sitting in the passenger seat of a car and places the mic where you tell him to anywhere in front of the door jams (basically, there are additional guidelines but I am just painting the broad picture). EXTREME outlaw is the same as outlaw only the judge can put the mic behind the door jam, but he must be able to reach it sitting in the passenger seat (once again, broad picture). Outlaw and Extreme outlaw are USAC formats. I hope this helps a little. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

Extreme outlaw and these 'port wars' are formats that allow weak vehicles to pull big numbers.

Well this is not an out right bash....But just a comment. Outlaw and USAC seems to get alot of stuff like that...It is for weak vehicles. Well Go sit in Danny Britians or sit in The car that I have posted below. Or many of a the other cars that I know.

Outlaw competition is Ralph Randall's way of trying to produce the biggest # out of all the car audio organizations. That way more attention would be placed towards USAC. Hasn't worked yet though. Db Drag still has the biggest overall #!!!

Can you smellellellellell what the Griz is cookin'???

Smell this. A competition where vehicles have a loud system and all of them are required to retain a stock interior from the door jam up. Imagine that... realistic vehicles... realistic scores.
No more MDF transports!!!!!!!!
