Im getting 2 1100a2's to go with my 2 Power DVC 15's. I was thinking about later on switching to 1 HCCA 15 on the 2 Power 1100a2's. Would that be a good Idea? Would it be louderthan the 2 Power DVC 15's I could put it in a really big ported box around 6ft^3 and have it sit in my trunk. The bigger the box the better right?

First off, I don't think that your cars electrical system could handle the current draw from 2 1100a2's running at 2 ohms mono. Second I don't think that the HCCA 15 could handle an 1100a2 running at 2 ohms mono on each voice coil.

First off, ya you will need about 400 amps of current to make those 1100a2's put out max power and I KNOW the HCCA wouldnt take that power. I have done several 15's in systems now and they dont hande as much juice as they say. The Orion 275r which is supposed to put out over 1000 watts has cooked a couple of the 15's now. I hate their amps but who knows. They dont actually blow the sub it just tries to throw too far and tears itself apart, separates the coil, and rips the tinsil out and things of that sort. You might get away with it in comps, (maybe) but not everyday poundin. Good luck!

Well JB...I have seen that same problem with the sub....BUT if you set the sub sonic xover on the HCCA-R series amps right that problem stops. Just ask HCCAINTEGRA.

I dont know the power output on a RF you are tallking and I dont feel like looking it up. I have seen someone put a 275R to a 15 no problems. I have also seen someone put a 275R to a 12 both HCCA and no problems.

If you dont have the install to support that sub forget it playing and it will blow....

My turn...first off the hccas will handle 1200wats and thats it no more , i would love to say they handle mor but why needing more power means youll have to spend more money on amps whih sucs cause you could be spending the money somwhere else.
The HccA275r is to much power for the hcca at 14v the 275 will make well over 1200wats at 16v it makes almost 1500watts orion themsevels only recommend a 250r for any of the HCCA woffers which is fine because the 250r will make 1000watts at 1v which is perfect for the HCCA but the key to keeping the woofer together is to not play them below the tunning HZ of the box .The number 1 cause of HCCA destruction is over excursion expecially on the first run of the HCCA's the tinsel leads were too short and the ripped them right out of the cone after to many lowe end excursions (owell).
Orion has since ffixed the problem and as long as you use a sub sonic filter on the amp your kewl noproblem at all.
I have had no problems at all with my HCCA 12D subwofer and HCCA250r set up . i compete in USAC sq and some DB drag and USAC outlaw events so the sub has been pushed pretty hard at times but it has held up amsomely. I hope this helps some ppl out and good luck
