Wattsup, I was trying to atleast set a
precedent with that post. I've seen the
JH debate get nasty elsewhere and wasn't
wanting it to happen here.
Sorry if I underestimated the fine folk
using this forum
I have to admit that after hearing of
the retiring of that vehicle, I'm very
dissappointed. Is he really that loud?
Now I don't think so.

For the record. If anyone wanted to use the "cap" in an SIR system to augment they're system, it would be an easy thing to do. No powder would ever have to be shed. The Caps normally do use compressed Nitrogen (it compresses more, therefore, a smaller can can inflate a large SIR bag), which is expelled by, normally, a blasting cap. NO Talcum is contained in the nitrogen canister itself, only in the packing of the airbag, since the nitrogen canister is literally inside the bag, no talcum is needed, except on the outside of the bag. I think that if they used the SIR inflater's, they must have purposely used some talcum so that they could be assured of the SIR inflater deployment. Just my opinion.

What the hell does this have to do with the orignal question? Now, at this point not a damn thing. That is why I made the suggestion to close the thread. We could see where this was leading. Yes, I found out that BOTH of these guys are cheating. If you want to bring all of this stuff up, start a new thread. OR you stick to the question at hand, which was "Who is the current world record holder, and what is their system specs?" System specs, maybe, but come on guys. Geez.

I agree with you, and would close it, but it's not my part of the forum, and don't want to stomp toes!!

Not to offend anyone, but after some of the doozies we have had on the old forum, it would be hypocritical of us to say this is off topic. At least it is related to record holders. Go look on the old forum, then come back and see if this one is still that bad.. On a personal note, I believe JH had a little "something extra" last season, although I am not an expert, but refusing to back up his score this season only makes him look guilty, even if his score was legit..
On the lighter side, maybe Wayne can hire Oliver Stone to direct next year's Finals Video..

I think you're confused with another forum.....
Actually, I would like to find a topic over, say, 10 replies that didn't change subjects!

Actually I had made a post, on the 8th I
believe, that was meant to be a gentle
pull back on topic.
Any more gratuitous pulls off topic and
I'll close the string....
(tech says in his best Monty Python God

I've already closed 2...Don't tempt me
I'll do it! Really!

I posted a response to my orignal post yesterday, either Tech intercepted it or the internet daemons got it first. The reason I said what I said about closing the conference is because what has happened to the thread- it has gotten way off topic. This whole thing happened in the old conference. Just thought I would try to prevent it here. Next time, start a new thread, maybe "Cheating Bastards in SPL comps" or something.

Give somebody power and they take advantage of it . Tech has the power!!! Sounds like a bad He-Man cartoon- by the Power 1000s he is Tech Man

Alma sent me a video of Jay cheating...
John cheated...
Tim cheated...
Arthur cheated...
I think everyone cheated in my class last year except for me and Alma.
I consider me to have been 2nd loudest last year with the "Team Duct Tape Van".
I look forward to beating those guys with my only 4 woofers!
Ofcourse you probably think I am smoking crack, but only time will tell.

Take 'em out tiny!
Maybe, after this next finals, someone
like metallica can come along and ask...
Who is the current world champ or the loudest
spl ever, and the answer won't be convoluted.
And he can ask for spechs on the vehicle and
airbags wont be a issue in the system design.
One could only wish...
Anyway, good luck to all of you who are
going to take trophies the right way.

As far as ever asking what the records are without them being convoluted, I don't think it will ever happen. Personal opinions can convolute anything. There will never be a point in time when everyone agrees. It just won't happen. Don't mean to burst your bubble, Tech Man!

From what I heard there was a large group of mic spikers last year. I was hesitant about the "no pass through rule" but I understand why it was implimented and now support it fully.
As far as spl records go, I guess we'll all find out in october.

It's illegal to run 4 Boss subs that have RF, Kicker, SS, CV, Orion, etc. dustcaps on them? Okay....didn't know that one. I would have applauded the guy in the local shops who thought of that one

We had one guy (8 years ago) who ran in the local shows who didn't report the extra pair of 8" subs that were in his car. One of the judges thought his scores were awfully high for just 2 12s and found the extra pair.

Oh well, someone will always try to figure some way to get around a corner, or just cut the damned thing off all together!

Well uncle I dont see changing dust caps to be illegal...BUT when you do it to make it look like you are running subs that are generally available to the public..when in actuality you are running subs that are not and when that will affect your class...Hmm..total cheating? not like the others..At least it is a legit number...who knows..also itis said and maby done..

How would a dustcap affect your class??
I guess custom speakers land you in the Extreme class don't they??

Art just got his Power DVCs 'early' - ya that's it: 'early'

And like Fukuda or Alma ran off-the-shelf-woofers. Donotbethinkingso!

Worst I could see is using cheap-butt woofs and getting sued for slander by the dustcap's maker for crappy score! HA!
