I wrote some new software to figure what your db is. If you know your db then try it and see if you find any errors.

Download: http://pages.prodigy.net/nickwright/db.zip

Thanks,

Why you make me figure out my cone area? If your going to do all that math ask how many and what size woofer I got. Also to make thing even closer do we need to factor in ported or sealed. To me it looks to be a ported calculation. My spl is only 145db with 8 vega 10" woofers and 2 500aII's but sealed boxes and your progame calculated 153db. My girl friends car has 4 vega 10" ported one 500aII and she hits 141.5db and you progam came up with 143db. Just some thoughts. If that cone area thing could chang that would be a great inprovment.

It seems to be fairly accurate for calculating spl, although it may be slightly on the high side. Great program though

To find the cone area of any sub all you do is multiply radius times radius times pie R squared. So if it was a 12" sub you would do- 6x6x3.14 There ya go!
