I just joined MECA this weekend in Spartanburg and yes I had fun.....I got a question though....
I do 146.1-146.4 legal on the dash for NSPL events using TErmlab yet my kick panel score in the Tahoe this weekend was only 145.7.....WTF? Everyone says my kick panel should be louder. Maybe it was b/c I had my passenger window cracked...I had my driver's door open and the mic was deep in the kick. Does anyone have any SUV help for this new MECA playa in the game? [Big Grin] [Big Grin] Thanks and see ya at a show soon... [Big Grin]

Well, I can't complain guys b/c it was my 1st LOUDEST OF SHOW so that was special... [Big Grin] [Big Grin]
I think next time I'm puting that window on the passenger side all the way up and the mic more towards the center of the floor instead of the kick......I think I'll do a sweep as well b/c 43 hz didn't get the job done this time. I think my highest score was at 45hz then I ran out of time......

By the way who's going to Hendersonville NC for state Finals?

Yea keeping your pass window all the way should help, play with mic placement and your tone.

It all depends on your ride. I’m a Meca Judge and I’ve seen people with their passenger window down and up. You really need to run a test at the next Meca show. They should be able to help fine the sweet spot. I like the sensor to be placed in the center of my car on the passenger side. But I have some SUV’s that come to my show and hit harder in the far right hand corner. Hope this helps.

Good Luck

Ed

I have a S10 blazer and I use the driver door all the way open and the all the windows up. Mic placement I put in the middle of where your feet go in the floor board and as high under the dash as you can go with the mic. This might work, but more than likely it will be a little different in your full size.

Good Luck
